Campaign Attributes are still Rampant in West Jakarta

Even though it has entered the quiet period of Legislative Election of April 9, the campaign attribute of political parties and legislative candidates are still rampant in West Jakarta.

"We have ordered the campaign attributes many times, but since there are still many of them, we ask the awareness of each candidate and party to remove the campaign props and attributes."

These campaign attributes such as flag, poster, and banner are still displayed on the trees, electrical poles, and walls of houses as seen in Kembangan Selatan and Kembangan Utara Urban Village, Kembangan Sub-District. This condition also occurs in Joglo, Palmerah, Cengkareng, and Kalideres areas.

Chief of West Jakarta Public order Agency, Kadiman Sitinjak admitted that the campaign props and political parties’ attributes are still displayed in a number of areas. As many as 500 personnel of Public Order Agency have been deployed in 8 sub-districts in West Jakarta to remove those props and attributes.

Yet, on Monday (4/6), West Jakarta Public Order Agency personnel along with representative of each party have removed 8,212 campaign attributes. "We have ordered the campaign attributes many times, but since there are still many of them, we ask the awareness of each candidate and party to remove the campaign props and attributes", said Sitinjak.
